i have 2 that are good. i have a IH 1066 turbo and a farmall M. they both have money stuck into them but the 1066 is all worth it. it's got like 200 hp at the moment i'd say to find an old JD A and put a little work into it. don't feel bad about getting it above stock specs since everyone else in the stock classes is souped up. the M weighs 5500 but it still has the cast wheels, hyd pump and light bar on it. you take that stuff off and you could easily get it in 4500. i just oull 5500 and 7000 with it. it suprisingly does better in 7000. it all depends how much you are willing to spend on the motor. the M just had minor mods. just dome pistions and bored a little. the 10 on the other hand has thousand into it. all depends on what's in your pocket. also tke into consideration if you want to spend all that money on the tractor just to have it sit in the shed between pulls. mine still serve as farm tractors just my $0.02 DF in WI
