Tom , I know this sounds like ancient history, but the first time I was through PA was in 1959 riding shotgun in an 18 wheeler. The interstate hadn't been opened yet and I got to see PA from the backroads. Absolutetly beautifull country. BTW, that was in a single axle Diamond T (diesel) hauling a 32' ice-bank reefer, running with a crazy ex-American with a White Mustang gasser. We would beat him on the upgrades while that son of a gun would use Texas Overdrive on the down slopes !! Never forgot it.
