The first thing I would do is disconnect the fuel line to see if you are getting a full flow of fuel to the carb. Let it run until it has run enough to empty out a full sediment bowl's worth of fuel. If the fuel flow slows down, then you probably have dirt in the bottom of the tank that settles down into the throat of the sediment bowl, but still allows a reduced flow to get through. You will have to remove the entire sediment bowl assembly and drain the tank and clean everything out to correct this problem. If you have good fuel flow, then you could have dirt in the carb. You will have to take it all apart, clean it, check the float & needle valve, etc. If this does help, I would move on to spark issues.
