Now here is what I think, going overweight isn't much of a problem as long as you aren't too far over. Who says the max GVW is 26k? Is that what the truck tag says? That is possible but the DOT allows 20k on a single drive axle and 12k on a steer assuming the tires can handle the weight and the brakes are designed to stop that much. So you may possibly gross out at 32k + 10% overage as long as it has farm plates and you don't drive on an interstate and it is still in your possession. So now your max GVW is 35,200. I assume your net weight is about 15k and 375 bu. of wheat weighs 22,500. The truck and wheat together gross at 37,500. A bit over but not bad unless your trucks GVW is 26k then that is excessive. You need to find yourself a nice tandem.
