In central Illinois almost everything is out and in the bins. Most of the ground that is not no-till has been chisel plowed. Now we have had rain, and it is still warm and the fields are all green again, just like it is spring time again. It looks like a lot of corn went out the back of the combine this year. Never have seen ground this green in the fall, my dad is 73 years old and even he commented he has never seen this much corn regrowing in the fall. Figures he probably lost $5-$10 an acre on his ground and his is not as bad as some of the others around our area.
