What kind of oil did you dump in? If motor oil, that is not likely to free it. ATF may very well work. Dump up to a cupful through the spark plug hole. Wait a few days. Pull the dipstick and look for a red tinge at the top of the oil on the stick- then you know it has gone past the rings, into the sump. Better to pull the valve cover and loosen the rocker arms if you intend to pull the tractor to loosen the pistons- otherwise things bend/break.
