Most common place to find a 5.9 Cummins is in a Bluebird TC2000. This is a transit style (flatnose) bus built from the later 1980's till a couple years ago. They were a popular bus and all had 5.9 Cummins.All of them would have an 545 Allison Auto trans. in them. An International chassis bus will always have an International engine. The DT360 mentioned by Jdemaris was used till 1994.As for Freightliners mentioned below almost all of the older ones (late 1990's) used as a bus chassis around here have a 3126 Cat . There are a few Cummins too.Freightliner FS65 chassis did not get used for buses till the last half of the 1990's.Alot of Ford B700 chassis from the mid 1990's on also used Cummins 5.9. Some of them say Ford on them but they are still a 5.9.
