Roy has this impact been sitting around for a while? Some need lots of oil through them or they just dry up and don't work right..seals/leathers/internal parts?..friend gave me an impact that was working great, I didn't use it for a long time and when I went to use it the wind just whistled through it..I have little knowledge of impacts but that was my experience, worked in an auto repair shop for a few years, the boss used to give the impacts a real oiling evry once in a while, just dripping out..they always worked
