i had a mess when tall kids mom passed away. she had not changed her will after we were married and didn't get changed after tall kid was born either. she passed away of a sudden illness leaving all of her stuff to her sister. well she thought she would hold that over my head and do dam well as she wanted until i saw a lawyer. he said in il as spouse and child you are entitled to a certain percent of her estate in which she was wed and give birth after the will was made and not updated. i saw another lawyer and he told me the same thing. her sister learned the same thing from her lawyer. she was fit to be tied. my lawyer learned from her lawyer sister about went thru the roof as she was mad when she found out she didn't get her way.
