I been wondering the same thing. I was trying to remember how my granddad kept his hands warm when he was my age. Got to thinking and remembered he didn't. He died before he got to my age. What I do remember when we were picking corn in the winter that he wore a pair of the yellow fuzzy gloves like you can buy now and wore a pair of large white canvas mitten's with stripes over the yellow ones. I guess the layer concept. I have a pair of snowmobile gloves that work only so long in real cold but better than anything else I have found.
