Dandy Don, I don"t see any mention on my order pages for those toolboxes you describe. I have an aftermarket one on my H. I"m not real sure they were an option from the factory...maybe the dealers ordered them from another supplier at the time before the tractor was delivered to the customer?
Further options for the H (this might be more info than anyone wants):
For 10X38, 4 Ply Rear, deduct $26.00 For 10X38, 6 Ply Rear, deduct $5.00 For 11X38, 6 Ply Rear, add $25.00 For 12X38, 6 Ply Rear, add $51.00 For 16.5X16 6 Ply Single Front and wheel, No Charge For 6.00X16 4 Ply Front. add $3.50
Axle, Wide Tread, 100", rear, $12.50 Kerosene Burn Attach.(includes shutters) $20.00 Radiator Shutter, for Gas Engine $8.00 Pistons, High Altitude $4.75
Regarding rear tires; In those years all I ever saw on H Farmalls were 10" rears. Never saw 12". As I said, "money was tight in those yrs", so I"m betting that deduction of $26.00 for 10" was popular, figuring that size was "good enough". Later in the "50s as the original tires wore out, farmers were proud to install "big 11" tires. All the M tractors had 11" from the factory in those days, as I recall.
