Lanse,

I"m sorry you feel that you are being picked on but as one of the other guys said, all of us get flamed once in awhile. You"re young and this might be a learning experience for you. Not everybody tries to live by the Golden Rule and those who try are not always 100% sucessful at it. To get through the rough spots in life you"ll need all the resilience you can muster. You can leave if that"s what you want to do or you can stay. That"s your choice and it"s still a free country.
Personally, I wish you would stay. You young folks ask questions that many people won"t ask and you say things that make some of us old farts think. During my professional career, I welcomed the inputs of our younger engineers becaused they asked the old hands questions that made the old guys remember the "why" of the answers they were giving and sometimes those "whys" were not relevent to the problem at hand. The younger guys brought a different point of view to the discussions and debates.

So think it over. Try to develop a thicker skin and don"t take some insensitive remarks too personal. And don"t be afraid to defend you point of view, ALWAYS arguing the TECHINCAL ISSUE and NOT THE PERSONALITY of those you"re involved in a discussion with. SOme people will be rude and you can terminate the debate when it gets that way. It"s all right to agree to disagree and you can do this civily. NONE OF KNOW IT ALL, BUT TOGETHER WE KNOW A LOT. And that includes you.
Good Luck with whatever you decide.

Today's Featured Article - A Brief History of Tractors in Australia - by Bob Kavanagh. After Captain Cook's exploration of the east coast in 1770 the British Government decided to establish a penal colony in Australia. The first fleet arrived in 1788 and consisted mainly of convicts who were poorly equipped and new little of farming techniques. The colony remained far from self-supporting and it was not until the early 1800's that things started to improve.
