As I live in Arizona I have found that tires sitting in one spot unprotected for a length of time such as RV Trailers are subject too,Tire failure is a given. I have had a few in this situation go bad [6]before I wised up and started to pay more attention to them.First I quit useing the Trailer type Tire Goodyear and Dealers push RV'Ers to use and went to LT type tires of higher weight ratings and several sizes larger.After a trip I place jack stands under both axles with the tires about 2" off the concrete pad they sit on,I remove each tire and give it a good washing both sides,reduce air presure by 20# each tire and remount them,then give each a good coating of tire coating and I have used Armourall and other treatments for this, then I put tire covers from Camping World on each tire and forget about them until the next trip at which time they are reflated to recommended pressure. A lot of work but I have not had any tire trouble since I have been doing this and it has been 3 years of no problems so far and no sidewall or tred checking is evident.Works for me.
