I had a good time this afternoon. Drained oil out 856 loader tractor right after dinner. Only had one oil filter on the shelf (takes two). Drove ten miles to get one. Installed filters, put in drain plug, just starting to get tight threads stripped. Fiddled with the threads on the plug put it back in got it snug thought it would be good enough to feed cattle, so I started it up and then the oil ran out of one of the filter canisters. Drove twenty miles got copper washer for filter canister tried to get oversize plug and a tap for it got plug but no tap. Fixed filter and got the cattle fed without losing the drain plug. It was a 7/8 plug and there's a fair sized thick area around the hole do you think I can drill and tap for a 1" plug? Or does somebody else have a better idea. Don't know if I am pulling to hard to tighten or if things are just wearing out after 15000 hours. Thanks Lee
