Depends on how you use the tractor. Short run times where the engine barely warms up fully should have oil changed more often (we change our diesel loader tractor about every 75 hours through the winter).
Diesel engines like to run steady loads for long times, so when using our tractors in the field we will run up to 120 hours, but usually change around 100 hours.
Manufacturer's want to make money, they can't make money unless your equipment wears out/breaks down. I don't believe their intervals - do you drive your car/truck 7500 miles between oil changes? For me, when the oil gets dirty looking and/or starts to use oil - I change it.
