I would not be stupid and run dyed fuel in any of my on road diesels. The IRS is in town at least once per week dipping tanks. As for a red dye sensor one does not exist in a pickup truck. Anyone telling you this is full of bull. GM does not care if you run dyed fuel. Dye does not effect the motor in any way. IRS is the only one that cares if you run red fuel because of the tax issue. Red dyed fuel or farm fuel still can be high sulfer content. The sulfer is what causes the limp mode. The truck can sense to DPF plugging to soon from the sulfer and shuts it down to prevent damage. If your fuel suppler has red dyed ULSD you can run it in the 07+ trucks with no problem just as long as the IRS/DOT doesn't catch you!
