I have a white industrial engine. It has a Wico model X magneto. spec XH1137 ser. 2-053230 . it has no spark at the points. I have disconected the grounding (shut off ) wire and also removed it from the points . so that is not the problem.the points gap is correct and everyhing spins ok
It is on a white industrial engine that powers my welder/generator. this thing is 6V.it has been in inside storage for about 18 months. before that it ran fine. I used it over several years periodicaly and it started every time. except for the flat battery I never had a problem with it.
what do I need to do to get the magneto working again. I am not a mechanic but I can follow directions. thanks
