Usually the capacity is rated near the base of the forks and is not a distributed weight along their length, I don't know about the KingCutter model. Manufacturers do this to boost the appartent weight rating of the implement.
I'm not sure what the price difference is, but if the pallet fork setup isn't too much more money that might be a better choice. They have a much heavier construction than the carry-all. If you own a drill you can add your own holes for mounting a platform. Good luck.
