I hope this will be taken as from a realist rather than an alarmist, but if you send him box of goodies, throw in a good sized box of tampons. They're great for plugging bullet holes because they absorb blood and stop bleeding, just like they're designed to do. From feedback I get from fellow Marines over there, at one time after the word got out so many male Marines were buying tampons to carry along on missions that they ran short of tampon's for the intended purpose for the ladies.
