About twenty years ago my wife was coming home early from work because of whiteout conditions, and went in the ditch by a neighbor's house about a mile away from home. She called me from the nieghbor's so I got in the pickup and went to get her. On the way home we came upon a school bus that had gone in the ditch because of a whiteout. I had a topper on the pickup at the time so we loaded up the pickup, front to back with kids from the bus and hauled them to our place. I think it took two trips if I remember right.

They were only at our place a couple of hours till the wind died down so the school could bring a bus to pick them up. Then we had to go grocery shopping to re-stock the shelves because they pretty much cleaned us out. Jim
