I read your reply back there about the Chevy Blazer conversion.I had forgotten all about those till I seen the pics.I had a 1983 K5 Blazer with the 305 4bbl.I was getting 6.6 mpg with #8 cylinder pumping oil.I bought a 400sb with all the freeze plugs gone.It was found in a ditch by a scrap metal collector.I took it and had it bored .100 thousanths making it a 411 ci approx.and with the same carburator and intake I got 12 mpg with a stock cam.
