I won't explain that guns can kill, seems pretty straight up that you know this. Seems the bigger question is why are the guns in school. If the boys hunt then that might slip by.
I'm guessing they think they are all that --as the kids say nowdays. Seems you and your son are on a good page for him to tell you that information. What is his gutt feeling as well as his friends? I sure hope you inform your son on what we all think he is a good kid for letting a parent know what is going down.
For crap sake you don't have a option, what the heck are you wasting time on this board when you should contact someone. There has to be a decent cop somewhere. And if the boys are trying to be cool, get them busted. We know the type and we don't need them, we just tolerate that type for some reason.
I don't know you other than this board, and you seems to me you are well respected as a decent guy. So I will assume you have contacted someone by now anyway. Did you consider a note to the local radio station? They can put alot of heat on the school staff as well as the cops.
Do something! Did you happen to notice no one said keep it very much to yourself? Seems there must be majority think like you did before you posted in the first place. Although it could be very harmless, what if? At least try to do what you can, you will feel better.
