There are some things you can do. If it was sold at auction and you can find the auctioneer he may have records of who bought it. Also go to the local paper there and put an ad in giving details, someone may recognize and remember some details for you. If you can find former neighbours they may know exactly where it went. If you are in that area, check at feed stores, repair shops or implement dealers, someone there may remember or know who had an M..you'd be surprised what you can dig up and I wish you luck, it would be great to have your grandfather's tractor.
