I've got a 12V Ryobi cordless drill. It's nothing fancy for sure, but it's worked pretty well for me.
Anyway, the only thing I don't like about it is the batteries go dead if they're just left to sit. It doesn't take long either, like 24 hours. At first I thought it was the drill so I started to take them out when I wasn't using it but it didn't help at all. I can take a battery right off the charger, set it on the bench and by the next morning it's dead.
I have two batteries, so one is always in the charger. When ever I use the drill I just switch them out, the one in the drill goes in the charger and the one in the charger is ready to go in the drill.
Has anyone else had this problem? If I get the packs "rebuilt" will that solve the issue, is there a place that uses better quality batteries?
It's pretty annoying. My dad has a 12V Makita and that thing can sit for weeks and still hold a charger (I know, the makita is a better tool, but we're just talking batteries here).
