A great-great many people dont have a motor home,SUV,4WD truck,quad,snowmobile,3000 square foot house.etc.
When you live in an area of $10-12 per hour jobs $3.00 plus fuel makes things tough on some.Most people in this area take home about the same money that they did 5 years ago.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford $3.00 fuel but I'm afraid that $4-5 fuel will ruin alot of people.I agree that lots of fuel is wasted and we are all guilty.However,my family is driving far less miles than we did 3 years ago and we could cut back more if needed.
I dont believe that there is a refinery shortage because if youve got the money the fuel is available.Fuel prices seem to be controlled by the speculators based on what ifs.
In early Jan 2007 gas was $1.85 per gallon here.Today its $2.99.Diesel is $3.49 for the highest ever.
