Shell Rotella 15-40 in everything.Years ago I worked at a place that used Cummins Blue,trucks were burning oil,switched to Shell Rotella,oil consumption went way down.Tank of oil lasted twice as long as with Cummins Blue 15-40.You maybe wouldnt want to use it in a DOHC Ford 4.6 in a car,but in most everything else it works.Old,Old Cat motors made for 30 weight or series 3 would leak 15-40,probly other stuff as well,but with new seals they will be ok usually.
