I'm trying to decide what to do with my 94 Toyota Tercel, Has about 130,000 miles on it, body is good, a little rust coming by rear fenders, everything else is good. It has started using oil and fouls out #2 plug frequently. When you start it, it puts out a cloud of blue smoke amd then clears up. I'm thinking about getting a estimate to fix the motor so I can drive it for 4 or 5 more years. It was getting 32 miles/gal, but is way down from letting it warm up in the winter, I only drive about 8 miles to work, so I start it and let it run for 5 or 10 minutes before I leave for work. I think it's too good to junk, but if I keep driving it, it probably won't last too long. I figure I would be better off to fix it compared to spending the same amount on a newer car and not know what I'm getting. Pickup only gets about 18 or 20 mpg, so I prefer to do my running in the car and save the pickup to haul what ever I need to. Don't want to spend 3 or 4000 for another work car right now.
