I have put over 1000 hours on a 770, to give you an insight on how much I know about it.
770's had charging problems in which the fuel shut-off solenoid would activate, thus killing the fuel because of low-to-no battery voltage.
Do you still have lights, dash displays? If so, do you hear an audible "click" when you turn the key to the "on" position? This click means the solenoid is working well, but there may not be enough voltage to keep the tractor running.
Post back and tell me if your tractor turns over or not.
