I have a perkins diesel in my 1976 F-250 4x4 and I really like it, has a 285 clark 5 spd, and brownlee 3 spd aux. Bought the engine brand new from perkins. Had to make motor mounts, and alredy had an adapter plate to go to Ford bellhousing, ford Flywheel and clutch, stater has been the problem cause ford 390 starters don't like the diesel.
