i do quite a bit of a/c work i have some tractor old ones i work on and eveyyear i go by give them a quick charge that all the guys want. now if you want it to stay charger you well most likly have to replace all the hoes, fittings o-rings and compresser. sorta like complete reto fit. thats on older modles. new modles. one thing i have found is to hook my air compress to the system pressure it up bottle soapy water and trace the line to find the leak. i have use that bubble soap the kids ues it makes good bubbles. if it is a jd with sound gard it probley in the low pressure line coming down the corner of the cab. the one with the foam insulation sure keeps them wet good for rust. on the ih tractor same thing on the medal lines.
