Having been there and done that, I wholly reccomend a compact 4wd diesel tractor around 15 to 20 hp. When you start talking hills and loader work, 4wd is unbeatable. Any of the major brands (Ford, John Deere, Yanmar, Massey- Fergeson, Kubota, even Bolens Iseki) will work fine with good parts availability. I would really carefully check out the "gray market versions" of these tractors, however. They may have nonstandard PTO and 3 point features. The diesel engines in most of these tractors are stone reliable and need only good maintainance to last thousands of hours. To demonstrate how efficient these little devils are, I had a 1980 Ford 1500 (19 hp.) 4wd with a loader. We hooked it back to back to my dad's Fergie TO30. We tightened up and I hit the differential lock and pulled that TO30 anywhere I wanted to. If you want to do all the work you describe, spend the money for a small 4wd and you'll only gripe about the price once.
