Once you get into that there can be alot of misery.The judging must be very consistent and abide by a set of rules.In the AMCA everyone that gets some points deducted on their antique bike feels slighted.Its almost better to just give everyone some kind of trophy for just showing up.When you think about it its not so enjoyable to be locked in to staying the entire day in the sun with not being able to leave early.The responsibility and liability of watching you tractor or when some idiot steals your caps or something.Keep it as freindly as possible, consistent and fair.One guy gets five points deducted for something not original another gets ten points deducted for same thing and everybodys mad at the judges and the organization.How to you handle overrestored with all modern urethane and high gloss.Better to have trophies like best paint, furthest distance entry,most original, etc.Of course a guy with a nice original tractor would disagree.
