Thanks to those who answered my December message regarding the trouble I was having with the carb on my 1945 Farmall M. Haven't been able to try your suggestions yet as I can't get the darn thing started. When I tried to start it the started switch shorted out. I replaced it and put the three wires back on it and now I have no response to my attempt to turn it over. Have checked and charged the battery and changed the battery. Tried to jump start it from my truck with no success. I checked the battery cables and the cable to the starter and all appear fine. How can I jump start the tractor directly to the starter? Anybody have any ideas?
