If anything its still early for planting corn. Corn seed likes 56 degrees for good germination. Your ground is probably colder than that and way too wet. In central Iowa yesterday I found the soil temperature was 47, but then it got down to 28 overnight and there was frost on the ground. It will be weeks before corn and beans are planted.

Corn is down today at CBOT, but probably about $5.50 a bushel at your local elevator. If you've never planted corn you might make 80 or 100 bushels per acre. With everything right, the land might make 180 or 200 but you will miss too many details. Been there, done that.

Seed on the other hand runs $150 to $250 per sack and a sack does about 3 acres. Nitrogen fertilizer is necessary and runs $750 a ton and up. Needs maybe 150 pounds of N per acre to produce decent corn. Might need P and K too, only a soil test will tell on the P and K.

You might make more money renting the land to a nearby farmer for cash and let him raise whatever crop his experience says will work.
