First of all I'm located in western Nebraska with fairly light soil. Years ago my grand dad used a JD 4030 (the 856 is very close to the same HP) with 15.5 singles and ballast to pull the same 24' two row Crustbuster I have now in plowed ground. The first time over is the toughest and once that's done then it pulls a lot easier. But with the price of fuel the need for economy starts to play a big part.
That said I'll probable stay with the 15.5s.
