It should have been called a election package. Where can you pay out extra without collecting extra. Smoke and mirrors may work, but they are going to figure out new taxes, and try to make us feel good about it. I stole money out of the wifes pocket and gave her a cash gift. She sure liked it at first. Her attorney didn't like me that much anyway.
Some folks say to see the sunshine as there are lots of jobs. Few jobs in my area that are offered will require the worker to pay any taxes. The flock of workers here are replacing better paying jobs. The better paying jobs used to force the worker to a higher tax level.
Our school is based on sports and higher wages. Most of us tax payers would be happy to work for the benifit package that is offered to the high guys on the pole within our school.
I have yet to talk to a teacher that thinks no child left behind was a positive thing. I'm not sure if they have problems with the acountability part or the actual learning.
We must have bigger busses now because there was nine buses now we have three. We closed down our elementy building --except the basket ball part. We heat and air condition that year round.
The middle school was built in 1964 and a gravel parking lot worked ok--two years ago it was hard surfaced. Town of 700--cost of $75,000.00 (do the math.) Forgot to mention they are probably going to shut it down in less than three years.
The school owned a two story house valued at $75,000.00 to $80,000.00. It cost approx $20,000.00 to remove it and seed the lot down.
I can't back this but was told that the bus miles are more for schuttling the kids between towns than the rural collection miles each day. Yet they think the kids are the ones in need of a education.
I ain't had much school housin, an I got a chip on my schoulder but the round numbers state that our fire departments budget for five years is what the big dog at our school makesin one. And the second dog in line is just a step down from him.
Our school is run by property taxes and local option school tax. But voting privalages go out to anyone over 18 for school issues. Kinda like the war lovers can paint a barn with your sons blood.
