there is one difference on the pony motors. the early 70 pony had 2 different sized main journals. if i remember right the the journal on the transmission side is a bigger journal. that was changed in the late 70s an 720s. other then that the same. the guts of the motor you can get, but hold on to your wallet, they are not cheap. johndeeregene
