I have been planting soybeans with a White 4 row 38 in. planter with a 5 row splitter attachment thus getting 9 - 19 in. rows. Have been going with around 5-6 seeds per foot, but was thinking about cutting that down to 4 or so, what do you guys plant with your 20 in. row machins? I know it is all about population, but it is about seeds per foot also. My bro in law plants beans in 38 in. rows and still gets fantastic yields, his rows are filled out that you can't see the ground. All I get is a bunch of straight stems.
