That would be a nice thing to try. But it probably won't market to anyone but small farmers who actually NEED to make a profit from their farming.
Years ago my economics professor told a story about pineapples. About the only pineapples available in most of the US were canned. Nowhere near as good quality as fresh, but you couldn't get them to market before they rotted.
Turn the clock forward a number of decades. Transportation and technology are vastly improved. Fresh pineapples could be made available to consumers for a fairly reasonable price. Guess what? Few people liked them. They tasted strange. They were just not what people were used to and had come to expect. Canned pineapples have a "tinny" taste from the can. Fresh pineapples don't.
Funny creatures, people are. They see bright, shiny new tractors for sale in the paper for what they consider to be cheap prices. They know little if anything about what is really valuable in a tractor, not having much seat time. Their neighbors or prospective neighbors use a certain type of tractor and seem to like them. In addition to which, these little machines drive a whole lot more like a car... not as much going on and not as much to keep track of. So they buy the tractor that seems "right". If they use it within the parameters of its strengths, all well and fine. When they start pushing the envelope, the envelope pushes back.
