6 is colder then a 7. Sorry I'm an old biker and have run them all. I started my son on a Kaw. KE100 and he could ride it some and then it would mess up. I then jumped on it and ran the crap out of it and all was well for a long time. 2 strokes get there power at high RPM and if you baby them they foul out plugs big time. Oh by the way I have been on bikes since I was 13 and have owned over 40 bikes of all sizes. If you have ever heard of cage riding I have done that and its fun unless you make a mistake. I've done the trick running thing many times and my son still gets mad at me when I jump on his bike and ride it on the back wheel or jump things hes afraid to do.
