Good thing with the current high prices is that it"s forcing people to cut useage. Instead of continuing to use at past rates and run out with little warning. We still have "plenty" of fuel but the "bottom of the barrel" is in sight. Time to get the new coal liquification and nuclear plants up and going. There is no reason why most trips to work not taken on the interstate can"t be a simple lead acid electric car. Farming, medical, transportation, legal, military and utilities will always be 24/7. No use getting bent out of shape about it. Take another profession if you don't like it.
