That plastic stuff never goes away. Sisal will rot in a few... We raise sheep, and the word is that plastic in the wool is about impossible to get out. Plus there's the problems of the animals getting tangled in the twine. Since sisal rots, at least it's not an ongoing problem. Many of the older balers do better with the sisal, because billhooks don't grip the plastic well. Either need to modify or replace billhooks with those made for plastic.
