I did corn and soybeans the first year . Weeds took over and really looked bad. 2nd year , i did Round up ready corn and soybeans,,Corn looked real good,,,,too good ! Spent way too much on fertilizer. Looked better than the "Real " farmers corn , lol . Last year i cut back on the corn as lot of the corps in the area were planted to corn. I did some wheat, oats ,and one big plot of some mixture I got from Theisens/farm store. Had sorgum , brasica, and turnips. My god the turnips were awsome ,,they were huge . Deer dug through the frozen ground to get at those all winter . I think the sorgum made better cover and food for the pheasants than corn . I tried some of the expensive"Deer hunter blends " from sporting goods store, but think they were waste of money for what I needed .
