Today is my birthday and in good health and so is the family. Retired five years ago come Oct. 3rd, but who is counting. Check comes once a month (not ss). I feel better than 5 years ago. Left the 24/7 cell phone on the job and did NOT get one. The inflow is more than the outflow each month. Able to buy a new toy once in a while. Took the grand daughter fishing the last two days and got a few bait stealers and no bugs so a good day.
Yes I am better off than working. Did put in 36 years with a two year hitch in the Army mixed in.
