Capitalism does work if you have numerous producers of a product, but if you have a handful like in the gas business then it don't work because they can charge what they want without any pressure from the few other people in the same business. Just look what happened to the steel industry years ago when a couple of people controlled all the steel business. That's what antitrust laws are supposed to be for but we have a Justice Dept. that favors business and turns a blind eye to it.
