Here in Wa state 880 an acre in also unheard of . More like 15-18000 per acre. Between spuds, berries, dairy farmers and hobby farmers there is war going on. Had a chance to buy 20 acres of flat land with water on site for 325,000 but only had a few days to think about it so had to pass. That same 20 acres today 3 years later would be at 650-700 thousand and no end in site unless one of those markets falls out of bed. It is cruel here and the young or new farmer has no chance!! We bought 47 acres in 1993 for 2500 an acre and this year I was offered nearly 10,000 an acre because some of it can flood during the winter months.
