My Dad's family had closed their truck farm a few years before I came along -- that was mid-60s, he was 48 when I was born.
But I do remember getting put in the back of the pickup truck to "pack down" the leaves when raking in the fall. In hindsight, I think it was more a convenient crib then an actual job :)
