Check the power switch make sure it's not grounding out. The wire on the side of the dist that comes from the - side of the coil make sure "NOTHING" is causing that to ground out.
This wire must not touch metal at all when it goes in the dist. One strand of wire will cause this problem.
A coil can be weak . Make sure to use a tractor coil. If you use a auto coil a external ballest resister must be used or the coil gets very hot .
Did you take the dist apart exposing the advance plates? The screws that hold that together can't be anylonger then what was in it.
If they have been replaced with longer ones there into the advance plates, things are now bent !
Check the ign switch make sure it's not broke inside. Do it with a meter.
