Sounds like it could be a Fordson E27N Major. They were built in England from 1945-1952. They were in between the Model N and later Fordson Major. It used the same flat head 4-cylinder engine as the model N, with a Lucas magneto. Look for the serial number on the upper right hand side of the block. On the surface where the manifold bolts, between the front two ports. It should be a 6 or 7 digit number.
