Not that I disagree with you on using Loctite sleeve retainer on valve seats, but I've seen dozens of large displacment engines that had valve seats installed with 601 sleeve retainer before, on both intake and exhaust with over 30,000 hrs.........
These were White Superior and Waukesha engines used for natural gas compression, burning natural gas so I can assure you those valve seats see abuse a diesel never will..........
Typically the seats would have .005 - .007" interference but sometimes the fit would be less at .003 - .005"........that was when my boss had me install green loctite on seats when I installed them........his insurance policy I guess but we never had any comebacks..........eventually the company I worked for purchased oversize seats and machined them to obtain the correct interference for each application, the proper way.............
